elle la mode is an outlet for discussion & ideation about the countless questions and opportunities that arise in a young person’s life and career.

Hi.  I’m Ellen Nordahl, and I’m living the questions.

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in May 2009 with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing and a Certificate in Religious Studies.  As an undergraduate, I worked in online consumer research & social media strategy, and after graduation, honed my marketing, writing and new media skills at a small marketing firm in Madison.  I’ve recently accepted a position as a recruiter with Epic Systems, and look forward to starting a new chapter in my career.

I’m an avid reader, design enthusiast, sushi fanatic, and, most importantly, a life-long learner.  My interests run the gamut — I’m just as comfortable talking about the brilliance of the Sartorialist as I am discussing the use of Buddhism as a political tool in Myanmar.  Quirky? Yes, but it works for me.
